What is it like to walk the streets of a medieval walled city, to sit in a Roman amphitheatre, explore the Eiffel Tower, or look up into the eyes of Michelangelo’s David?

At SSU, students in the Liberal Arts Program have the opportunity to explore world heritage sites, major museums and art galleries, and experience daily life in Western Europe.  The Western European study abroad term brings to life and ties together the history, philosophy, literature, and cultural and religious studies undertaken in residence.   Students in this program spend two months traveling by chartered coach through France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and the UK.  Accommodation is generally tenting, and student cooking teams prepare meals.

All of the expenses of this trip are included in the cost of the travel term, with the exception of travel insurance, immunizations, passport, any personal spending money needed and the gear needed on the trip.
