St. Stephen's University is the kind of place where you can come as you are and figure out who you want to be. We believe that as we find beauty in ourselves and others, together we will discover wholeness in life with Jesus. St. Stephen's University is a true 'thin place;' a centre of higher learning sustained by God, where people live and journey together, are stretched, transformed and given new life in serious study and strenuous sharing, and over time, these same people become free—to love and serve—anywhere.
We offer Bachelor's degrees in the Humanities (History, Literature, Philosophy, etc), Psychology and International Studies. At the graduate level, we offer a Ministry Studies program by module.
Can't decide what to take? Start with our one-year Foundation Year Program! Upon successful completion of this diploma program, you can go immediately into the second year of any of SSU’s undergraduate programs OR you may choose to transfer your credits to another institution.
St. Stephen's University is located in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada.
A typical year at SSU costs $15,600. This price includes tuition, residence, meals and student fees.
Great news: Applying for enrollment at SSU is free! And it only takes a moment.

St. Stephen's University is a unique learning community, where living, studying and traveling together creates a transforming blend of education and spiritual growth.
We welcome students from a wide variety of backgrounds and stages in life's journey.
We want to create an environment where we learn and experience that loving Jesus can actually help us think critically, humbly and creatively within all aspects of everyday life.
In our intellectual, spiritual, practical, and relational lives we want to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2).
We believe that the Bible, and Christian traditions, can show us who God is and inform how we live. The application of this belief is essential to our community life and we aim to be like Jesus in the way that we love and serve each other.
When living in a close-knit community, behaviour that respects others is appropriate and necessary.
We tend to rely on common interpretations of the Bible as our standard and guide, not necessarily our rulebook. So although we don't try to make people conform to some pre established norm, if someone's choices affect others in harmful ways, we will do our best to resolve the issue in a timely manner.
We treat individuals with dignity and compassion rather than anger and judgment, and we figure issues out one at a time.
In summary, SSU is an academic Christian community where friendships and fun blend with an education that teaches you to think, to communicate, and to engage with God and the world.

It's where we learn how to live well together. Through participation in activities both inside and outside the classroom, we aim for a community life of serving one another, encouraging each other and knowing how to have fun!
Whether it's making meals together, performing a drama presentation, preparing for our annual Celebration of the Arts Night, or sitting around a campfire on the coast, we experience the real-life ups and downs of learning to love (and even like) each other.
The university campus is centred around one building, Park Hall or the big yellow house (the picture above shows students sitting on its front step).
Park Hall, built at the turn of the 19th century by a wealthy shipbuilder, houses the offices of SSU, a residence, academic facilities, kitchen and dining room. Years before it became a university building, Park Hall was the prestigious ‘Park Hotel,’ housing guests such as Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Munroe. Today it is the hub of life at SSU.
The university also has academic programs that reach around the globe, with students returning to St. Stephen each year from study-abroad programs that took them to Paris, Rome, Istanbul, Bangkok and Manila.
Planted firmly in the valley of the St. Croix, looking across the river to welcome our American neighbours, SSU's original vision for academic excellence continues to inform our life as a Christian learning community.
The world is our campus.
