Having previously taught a few courses as an adjunct faculty member, Matt joined the faculty of SSU permanently in the fall of 2019. Matt teaches biological, social and cognitive psychology, as well as advanced research methods. His previous research used ECoG and computational modelling to investigate learning and attention in pre-frontal cortex. Currently his focus is shifting to explorations of dysfunctional learning processes in mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety. Matt would be happy to beat you at ping-pong.
