Aski Learning Tour
From April 26th – May 8th, 2016, a group of SSU students and professors participated in a First Nations Learning Tour, hosted by Mennonite Central Committee. The group first travelled to Ottawa to meet with the Assembly of First Nations, MiningWatch, Kairos and others. They continued north to Timmins, Ontario, where they participated in the Aski Learning Tour, “listening to the stories and connection that draw a relationship between Indigenous community members and the land that has provided a livelihood for generations.”
