From October 3 – 28, Brian David Johnston¬†is Artist-In-Residence at St. Stephen’s University. While in residence, Johnston will be working on large-scale graphite drawings, mixed media painting blindfolded, some digital transfer prints and, if time permits, some rock sculpture. He will also provide the washi workshop, teach three free experimental drawing classes, give two artist talks, and offer mentorship to any artists in the region. He is a deafened artist who is aided by a cochlear implant. Currently Johnston is preparing for his October solo exhibit, “Existential Selfies,” in the Rotunda Gallery, Kitchener, ON City Hall.
