You’re Invited to a Lobster Dinner Fundraiser

On November 20th there will be a Lobster Dinner and Auction fundraiser at St. Stephen’s University!

What are we raising funds for?

As part of the International Studies program at SSU, senior students have the privilege of assessing various missionary and NGO partnerships in and around Nairobi, Kenya – trying to understand principles and practices for effective development in the majority world.

Itinerary

The Lobster Dinner and Auction fundraiser will be held at St. Stephen’s University, beginning at 6pm with appetizers and a silent auction (with numerous items on display for viewing and silent bids) and concluding with a live auction following the lobster dinner.  Everything should be wrapped up by approximately 9:30pm.

A delicious full lobster dinner (including appetizers, dessert, and beverage) will be served beginning at 6:30pm.  The lobster will be freshly caught, local Bay of Fundy lobsters.  The meal will be enhanced by live music, performed by one of our talented SSU students.

The evening will end with a live auction featuring a variety of items donated by local businesses in the Charlotte Country area, as well as paintings, crafts, and baking goods from various individuals who live in St. Stephen.

Some of the auction items are:

– 2 Rounds of Golf (incl. power cart) to the Fairmont Algonquin Golf Course

– Apple IPod Touch (8GB)

– Spa Tranquility care package

– St. Stephen Guardian Drugs Basket

– One night stay at the Windsome Inn

– an oil change from the Ford Dealership

– a coffee package from Honeybeans

– and much, much more . . .

An invitation

So we invite you. Come and dine, enjoy the music and make a bid on silent and live auction items. Through your participation you will be supporting the SSU goes to Kenya project and helping a small group of students add a valuable component to their educational experience.  Seating is limited to 100 places so reserve your ticket soon.
